Moscow Art Center
Gallery overview
Welcome to La Perouse Art Gallery, the first Australian Aboriginal Art & Design Gallery in Moscow.
Centrally located, it offers extensive and constantly growing collection of high quality Aboriginal paintings and authentic traditional Aboriginal fine art for private collections as well as for interior decoration.
Australian Aboriginal society has the longest continuous cultural history in the world and Aboriginal art is the oldest living art tradition, with paintings in rock shelters dating back more then 20,000 years. The art includes naturalistic paintings of human, plant and animal figures, providing a link between the world inhabited by humans, animals, and plants and the spiritual dimension that underlies it, as well as abstract designs ranging from the narrative dotted complexity to the singing lyricism of a new style.
Art is everywhere. Art is culture, it is law, it is Dreaming, it is the land and it is who we are. It is unique, it gives meaning to landscape and expresses the creative powers inherent in the Universe. Yet for a long time the evolutionary eye of the European tradition overlooked that richness of Aboriginal art. La Perouse Art Gallery is here to bridge this gap and to bring to you a palette of uninhibited color to tell stories of the Dreaming and to reestablish contact with vanished time and the Nature.
Aboriginal Fine Art is the upcoming inspirational trend for indoor decor of the finest homes and businesses around the world and La Perouse Art Gallery invites you to come in and browse at your leisure through its hand picked collection of high quality paintings, prints, photographs, large variety of authentic decor items and books as well as talk to our Aboriginal culture specialists and become acquainted with some of the Australia's most famous indigenous gallery.
